Holistic Hotel & Healing Sanctuary

Holistic Hotel was designed as a sanctuary that delivers transformative experiences. Timeless architecture that empowers divine connections to self, nature, earth, and the cosmos was a key driver for this project. With the belief that the built environment must be regenerative, construction and the operational life of the property sought to promote human and planetary wellbeing. A series of non-negotiable requirements, agreed upon by both architect and owner, were rooted in incorporating wellness architecture design strategies into the project, thoughtfully carried out across all dimensions of wellness.

-Biophilic design
-Use of natural materials only, no synthetics
-Simple architecture as back drop to beautiful moments, artifacts, essences, and experiences
-Landscape with native species only
-Connection to outdoors in all primary spaces
-Net positive energy and renewable energy sources only
-Daylight required in all primary spaces with supplemental task and evening lighting
-Circadian accurate lighting in all spaces
-Play with light, shadow, movement (water reflections, movement of trees)
-Sanctuary feel: silent, humble architecture that holds space
-Spaces for movement, exploration, and inner journeys
-Temples to restore, challenge, connect
