FAQ for Interior Design Services
Space planning and layouts, finish and material selections, lighting and fixture direction, and a furnishings plan. Depending on scope, we also provide specifications, a curated sourcing plan, and install guidance—so decisions translate cleanly from concept to finished spaces, with comfort, wellness, and natural materials in mind.
If you’re drawn to nature-forward interiors, our biophilic design principles explain what that can look like in real spaces
We begin with discovery to align on goals, lifestyle needs, and constraints. Then we set design direction, develop layouts, refine materials and key details, and finalize specifications. You approve decisions at clear checkpoints before ordering or installation, keeping the process collaborative and controlled—especially when interior choices need to support wellness architecture goals like daylight, air quality, and low-tox materials.
Fees depend on scope, complexity, level of detailing, and whether procurement or install support is included. Working with an interior designer is typically priced as hourly with a detailed estimate of total fees or as a fixed fee for well-defined scopes. Design fees are separate from construction and furnishings costs.
Timelines vary by scope and product lead times. Design work can move quickly once decisions are made, but ordering and fabrication often drive the schedule. We flag long-lead items early and set decision deadlines so purchasing and installation stay on track.
We can specify products and provide a purchasing plan with lead times, alternates, and approvals. Procurement may be handled by you, your builder, or through an agreed-upon procurement scope. We clarify responsibilities early to keep budget, schedule, and design intent aligned.
We’re based in Jackson with offices in Denver and Park City. Many clients work with us through virtual meetings paired with planned site visits at key milestones. We tailor the cadence to your project scope and location.
If included in scope, we coordinate with your architect, builder, and trades to clarify specifications, align timelines, and resolve design questions. We review key selections and details to support smooth execution and help the finished space match the approved design.
