A world-renowned wellness spa retreat in Tijuana, Mexico commissioned Vera Iconica Architecture for consulting and remodel services, responding to how the Ranch can best continue to live up to its promise to offer facilities and accommodations that also deliver both health and enhanced wellbeing for guest’s experiences. VIA analyzed the built environment in accordance with VIA Wellness Architecture Principles™, reviewing how surroundings are supporting people, purpose and planet, in comparison to Conventional Building Practices, such as codes, LEED, WELL, and other known building standards.
The work included Wellness assessment and remodeling, reorganizing the Wellness program to optimize guest enjoyment, flow of experience as well as the integration and articulation of materials and building techniques with the rhythm of openings (fenestrations).
